Guts Church

Project Overview:
Guts Church was looking for a way to allow instructors and students to communicate effectively during the Second Mile Ministry Training Program. Rather than building a custom application for tens of tousands of dollars, we were able to utilize open source technologies like Wordpress Multi-User, Buddypress, and a slew of plugins to accomodate all of their needed functionality at a fraction of the cost. All of the 3rd party applications and plugins were highly stylized and customized to fit seemlessly with the existing Guts Church brand.

Project Features:
The 2econd Mile website offers extensive collaboration between students and instructors. Utilizing the Wordpress platform, virtually the entire website is editable by inhouse staff who have no training in web design or programming. Also, the instructors have the ability to post private content in blogs and forums that only their students are allowed to see. Instructors and their students have the ability to restrict access to the private materials on a student-by-student basis. Also, to incorporate the media rich community at Guts Church, there is
extensive integration with slideshow pro to allow media sharing over the EdgeCast
Content Delivery Network (CDN).
